This Sunday the stars at the Oscars will be waiting in luxury before they head on stage. Michael S. Smith was chosen to design the greenroom for this years Oscars; going with a 1940's Hollywood theme. Sophistication and glamor are just pouring out of this stunning room.

Here are some greenrooms from the past...a little walk down memory lane.

munch bar

The Munch Bar in Bellevue opened about three weeks ago and I went their last night to check it out for little birthday dinner with some girlfriends. What a great concept! The only other one is in Vegas...I think my favorite part is the Piano Bash section which is a dueling piano bar! Love it....will definitely be heading back for a little sing session! Menu and service were great...go check it out!

not your mom's wallpaper

Weitzner Limited has some amazing wallpaper that is sure to turn heads.I love the idea of having part of your wallpaper design be the paint color on the wall. The holes in the last photo could be so fun with a bold color like red painted behind the paper.

A great new blog is launching today for designers who like to read! Designers & Books is the name of the blog created by Steve Kroeter...it's not just focused on interior design but architects, fashion designers, and graphic designers can all gain something from this blog and book recommendations. Architect Adam Kushner came up with some truly genius ideas to re-purpose old subway parts in his New York Penthouse. The entry door is even an old subway car door! All the salvaged parts that he carefully used throughout his house totaled a measly $200! Amazing.

Goodness gracious I love everything about this house! I think my favorite rooms are the dining room and charming little nook. I am crazy about the mismatched chairs and use of benches as seating.
