I came across this unique furniture store, Kartell courtesy of the Daily Candy. Some very fun pieces to jazz up any room! The Louis Ghost arm chair is one of their most popular items...not sure about the comfort factor, but it is definitely a conversation starter! And who could pass up a beautiful looking stepladder...not me.

How adorable are these cake pops from Bakerella! They are perfect for parties and entertaining for both kids and adults. I just had to share them with you...even though they aren't exactly design related! You never know where you'll find design inspiration though. I may attempt these this Christmas...it's quite tempting!

I have been inspired this morning by many of the rooms that David Scott has designed. I really love how he layers contemporary pieces along with antiques and unique finds to create a fresh, warm, comfortable, eclectic space. Today's the first day of fall and David Scott's designs are the perfect inspiration to bring warm fall colors into your space.

countertops

People often jump to selecting a granite for their countertops before exploring all the other wonderful alternatives out there! Granite is becoming very economical for people, which is why it has also become quite popular and is installed everywhere in every price point of home. My goal is always to inform clients of other countertop options such as a quartz surface. Easy to clean, no need to seal, doesn't stain, can be fabricated into any shape...what's not to love! Oh yeah, and there are beautiful color pallets available!

If you're looking for a countertop surface to steal the show and have a lot of movement...this isn't going to do it. However if you want something classic, clean, and beautifully subtle in movement...quartz may be a great option for you! This morning I am shopping at Hudson Furniture Inc. These are all the items I would like to buy! In my little dream world, I can get slightly out of hand. There are some beautifully constructed and carefully designed pieces from Hudson...so unique that I'm finding myself drooling a bit.

I need to order my new business cards...but am having a difficult time making decisions. I know...shocking!
